True manifestation begins not with fixing ourselves, but with accepting where we are and creating from a place of clarity, compassion and self-worth.

You’d think that having high standards is a good thing – that aiming for the best means we’re more likely to achieve it. But what if the pursuit of perfection is the very thing standing in the way of our dreams?

So many of us – especially those on a path of growth – fall into the trap of “should”.
I should be more consistent.
I should be healthier, happier, more focused, more grateful.
I should be further along by now…

It sounds noble, even spiritual – the idea that we’re working on ourselves. But perfectionism, even in disguise, is sneaky. It tells us we’re not enough yet. That we can’t fully enjoy our lives until we’ve ‘fixed’ ourselves or achieved the perfect version of who we’re meant to be.

And it’s exhausting.

Perfectionism isn’t clarity. It’s control.

At the heart of most perfectionism is fear – fear of not being worthy, of being judged, of failing. We become so focused on getting everything right that we stop listening to what feels real.

Manifestation, true manifestation, is not about controlling every outcome.
It’s about aligning with your essence – the truth of who you are – and allowing that energy to guide your choices.

In that sense, perfectionism and manifestation don’t mix well. One is rooted in striving. The other begins with self-trust.

Unrealistic expectations are a collective burnout.

We don’t just put these standards on ourselves. We put them on others too – often without realising. We expect partners to always understand us. Leaders to always inspire us. Bodies to always perform. Work to always fulfil.

But life is not here to meet our fantasies.
It’s here to meet our growth.

So instead of waiting until everything is perfectly in place, what if we let ourselves begin with what is?

Imperfect steps still move you forward.

The most powerful visioning I’ve done hasn’t come from trying to force my life into neat little boxes. It’s come from moments of deep honesty – when I’ve allowed myself to be human, messy, and real.

It’s not about lowering your standards or giving up on your dreams. It’s about letting go of the belief that your worth depends on achieving them perfectly.

Because it doesn’t.

You are worthy now. You are whole now. You are already in motion – whether it’s fast or slow, clear or foggy. And that is more than enough.
