FAQs
Any Questions?
Within the emerging world of using yoga to address emotional pain, "trauma aware yoga" introduces you to an awareness of how someone with trauma might need an attitude of care, invitation and respect for their personal space. It helps you notice the signs someone with trauma might express and the thresholds that indicate you should refer them on for further help. It's important to be aware that this is very different from "trauma sensitive" or "trauma informed" yoga, which explore ways to help someone with trauma and are beyond the scope of this course. In this course, "trauma aware yoga" enables you to be a sensitive, kind yoga teacher who knows how to help someone with trauma find the assistance they need.
The course will be spread over 4 live online teaching days (see below for dates), each followed by a live, interactive tutorial session.
To refine your skills, there is a component of personal study which you will prepare and then explore in tutorials and small group sessions.
The course materials can be accessed by logging into your Account on druyoga.com. Once logged in, go to My Account and then select Courses from the list.
The recorded sessions of the live online teaching days will be available as replays very soon after the live sessions, so there’s no problem if you miss one. However we do recommend that you attend the tutorials live as much as possible as they will included Q&A time as well as student interaction, The tutorials will be recorded and made available as replays too.
